Brilliant idea – hacking on a triage basis! Well, I’ll keep my fingers crossed!

My son, Dylan (7), has cerebral palsy and tends to drag the toe of his left foot, wearing a hole in the sole of his left shoe in 2-4 weeks. Here’s a picture of a pair of Clarks school shoes I’m sure I could patch with Sugru if I had some.

@alistair, thanks for your ireallyneedsome idea, we’ll gladly send you a piece of sugru to try this out but I’m doubtful that it’ll be tough enough for the hard wear on the end of a shoe.  Someone did send me back a picture of their repaired trainers and I had it on the gallery for a while – they said it held up for a while but then wore through, so I took the picture down. Have you tried shoegoo? I haven’t used it myself yet but Cool Tools says it’s good !

Hi

I run an embroidery business and have just purchased a red laser pointer to enable me to align designs on my machine better.

I require about an inch square in white to match my machine and to hold small component of the laser onto the machines plastic body where it will point to the eyelet of the needle.

I have tried using tape but it keeps moving and i think surrounding it with sugru and then fixing it to the cover will work really well.

Please help.

Re my comment on facebook, i plan to make a clamp so that i can attach my webcam to my monitor -

my idea is to put clingfilm over the area on the monitor, so that Sugru won’t stick to it & then when it’s set i will be able to remove it if i want.

I’m sure it will be perfect, can’t wait to try it – any idea when it will be available?
