I’m surprised it didn’t stick to the iPhone – I probably would have put some clingfilm between the iPhone and Sugru just incase.

Great hack. Can’t wait to try it (need an new iPhone first though!)

Case?  We don’t need no stinkin’ cases!  That’s a beautiful hack!

I know, it’s wierd !
It stuck really well to the other iphones but the iphone 4 has some kind of protective coating on the glass that stops sugru sticking… it’s actually probably a good thing, because it sticks well enough not to fall off, but not so well that you need to use a knife to get it off.
Hope you do it, we all have our phones done here, it really does do the trick!

You have a nice product!  I have it featured on my blog.  This is also a great way to personalize your stuff and at the same time, keeping it protected. :)

@mag :D how is your phone holding up? how coool was that the guy from griffin posted after you ?!

@cindy thanksk! nice blogpost! :) http://z3olyte.com

Jane, the iPhone is holding up beautifully – the iridescent effect is muted (some would say less garish) from wear.  The iridescence on the cable repair is still dazzling!  Yes, it’s very cool that the Griffin guy posted about my repair – thanks for the heads up, I didn’t know about that.  Hey, I’m featuring Sugru in my newspaper column next week!

@Mag, hey that’s brilliant ! thanks a million! What newspaper do you write in? My sister lives in toronto so I’ll tell her to pick it up, she’ll be proud :)

I just did this hack on a 3GS, I went a bit further and pushed sugru in the gap between the glass and the chrome surround, I think it looks nice and adds a bit of personality.
BTW Great product!!!

Wow but im not sure why one would want to bounce around their phone lol. There is a company who make phone covers made out of a special material that allows your phone to be dropped and bounce without damage and as its a cover its also there for general wear and tear, i think that would give this a run for its money.

This is simply a very good idea, no more broken iphone screens! kudos to the inventors!

Hey, have you tried covering the antenna gap in the lower left corner? Maybe this fixes the dropped calls issue, too! Apple should include a pack of Sugru with each iPhone 4

Is the conductivity of Sugru low enough to repair the antenna problem by extending the lower left bumper corner and covering the place where the two antennas come together?
