These are from two different sugru users: Paul says his wife picked this pot up about 20 years ago in a flea market, and it’s their favourite pasta pot because it’s nice and heavy. The bakelite handle cracked off and he enjoyed repairing it while keeping the crack! Same goes for Dave’s knives – he’s loved them and used them for years, the cracks are part of them now.

wouldn’t want to cut anything with those knives. Apart from people in an ally.

Those knives are proper Sabatiers I suspect, and thus the sharpest (if sharpened properly) in the universe, and absolutely wonderful – whatever they look like. Barkeepers friend makes them look lovely and clean anyway. I have one just like the big one and it has a big crack in the handle but I would NEVER throw it away – so please make more Sugru speedily so I can fix my knife……

Oh this is brilliant.
My Grannie’s saucepan, which has the brilliant brand name of “Polaris”, and comes with a steamer to sit on top of the gorgeous copper bottomed saucepan, or indeed, a proper coolio bain marie (the bestest for making home made ice cream, I tell ye) has been ever so gradually becoming worse for wear over the last 20 years *I’ve* been using it. I think it must have been from the ‘50’s. Anyway, If I had to take only 1 thing to a desert island, it would be my Grannie’s saucepan because it is the “awesome saucepan”. (Couldn’t stop myself typing that. Sorry).
The handle has a massive crack in it, the steamer has lost the bakolite holder on one side and has a nasty couple of metal edge things sticking out, and there’s a crack in the knob on the lid.
….so please hurry up and make some more Sugru, you lovely people!

Hi Kathy,
sugru is still very new – only on general release since June, so far it’s only available from us here at sugru.com and from the Design Museum shop in London. We are working towards selling through some retailers in the US and Canada from next year so if you have suggestions of stores local to you which would be good for sugru, it would be great to know! The Royal Mail gives 10 days estimated delivery time to Canada, and we only charge shipping at cost so it’s pretty affordable. 10 days will fly ! ![]()

Hi Jane,
if you would like to sell sugru in Quebec I suggest contacting Omer DeSerres stores. They are a fairly big arts and craft stores chain in Quebc.

I live in Ottawa and just placed my order. I’m happy to wait the 10 days and, besides, your shipping charge is less than the cost of taking the bus to a local shop!

Jane, Lee Valley has stores across Canada, and also sells by catalogue. They sell hardware, handy things and tools and seem to me a perfect fit for Sugru. They also sell in the U.S.
Check them out at leevalley.com

Yes! I completely agree. Lee Valley would be a perfect place to sell Sugru in Canada.

it would be awesome, if I could buy it at CanadianTire or HomeHardware in Canada

I’d also love to see this come to canada. It seems like the kind of product that you need at a moment’s notice, so ordering from England isn’t ideal. Canadian Retailers: As already mentioned Lee Valley Tools is a really good choice. It’s exactly the type of innovative product they specialize in carrying and marketing. They publish several mail-out catalogs a year in which they describe their products in detail.
Mountain Equipment Coop would also be a good choice – the store’s demographic is probably very compatible with Sugru. REI is a very similar store in the US.
Canadian Tire is a very widely distributed market, but it might get “lost” in the store.
