sugru is the new self-setting rubber for fixing, modifying and making stuff.
sugru can be formed and shaped by hand for up to 30 minutes once it has been removed from its packaging.
Sticks to almost anything
sugru forms a strong bond to metal, ceramics, glass, wood and some plastics like perspex and ABS and rubbers like silicone and butyl rubber.
Air cures at room temperature
sugru is like modelling clay when you take it from its pack. Once it's exposed to air, it cures to a tough flexible silicone overnight using the moisture in the air.
The sugru gallery - this place belongs to you! This is where we publish the best of the fixes, mods, hacks and improvements sent to us by sugru users every month. Whether you're a pro, or just getting started, share your projects with us — you might even win some free sugru!
Connect up mismatched washing machine pipes
I moved house in Italy last month – everything went well until it came to fitting the washing machine! Fitting the hose for the incoming water was simple, but somehow where the waste hose needed to fit the corresponding (Italian) pipe was half the diameter needed. A quick repair with masking tape proved useless. Neither the local plumber nor the local hardware shop were able to suggest a fitting to adapt the two sizes. Eureka! sugru came to the rescue. It's now three weeks since I used sugru to join the two hoses together, and not a leak in sight. For me, this is a perfect example as to why I should always have a pack of sugru to hand. Paul, Italy
