sugru is the new self-setting rubber for fixing, modifying and making stuff.
sugru can be formed and shaped by hand for up to 30 minutes once it has been removed from its packaging.
Sticks to almost anything
sugru forms a strong bond to metal, ceramics, glass, wood and some plastics like perspex and ABS and rubbers like silicone and butyl rubber.
Air cures at room temperature
sugru is like modelling clay when you take it from its pack. Once it's exposed to air, it cures to a tough flexible silicone overnight using the moisture in the air.
The sugru gallery - this place belongs to you! This is where we publish the best of the fixes, mods, hacks and improvements sent to us by sugru users every month. Whether you're a pro, or just getting started, share your projects with us — you might even win some free sugru!
Fix a spot-welded outdoor sculpture Secure broken-off parts
This wind turbine was built by a local artist - he does various designs. My one spins around in the wind. One night we had hectic strong NW winds and it blew all the leaves off - they were just spot-welded on.
Rather that throw it away, I was able to find all the leaves in my garden and used green sugru to fix it; I just put a spot at each weld point. That was October 2011 and it is still working perfectly. John, Cape Town
