Improve a headless guitar

I have a headless guitar from a factory well known for this kind of guitars. The problem with this guitars is – you can only use strings with double ball-ends (means you have a ball on both sides to prevent slipping). The gauges of these strings are limited. If you like to have other gauges, you have to use a string clamp (shown in picture 'before'). As you can see, the cutted strings come out of the clamp and are of course painful when you get stick (like a needle) by them, which is common when you play at the upper frets. I used some kind of ducktape before I got sugru. Before applying sugru I taped the strings and the parts I don’t want sugru to stick to with a clear tape like scotch.
