Make beautiful brooches & hair pins

I have used my sugru to make brooches and hair pins for my wife and mum.

I used black sugru because I wanted to make sure the gems looked as if they 'floated' on the overcoat / dark cardigans. Having a metal background sometimes kills the sparkle of the gem, so I decided to try out a black background. It's my wife's birthday next week and this seemed like a perfect gift for her. I gave a brooch to my mum as a going away gift. sugru is light weight and as the stick-on-gems are plastic, the whole creation is lightweight. It's perfect for her cardigans as it won't ruin her them in the slightest.
