We purchased a slightly used 2009 Honda Fit from one of my previous Dealers prior to my retirement from Honda Canada Inc. in Dec. 08.? He was about 8 hours driving from us here in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada so not feasible to take back up to get any non warranty repairs. ?After a couple of weeks I discovered the radio antenna on the roof was not sitting flush with the roof.? I took it to local Honda Dealer?s body shop and they wanted $500 plus taxes to repair it!? My wife Rosemary who is an artist, told me she had just ordered this amazing thing called Sugru and could fix it herself!? Being a typical male, I put this aside and tried to fix it with silicone seal (didn?t work)!? So the Sugru arrived and within about 20 minutes with me holding a light for her, she had it done.? We are planning to keep the car for several years so when we do sell it, the Sugru will be a selling feature that no other car has. Also if we are parked with several other white Honda Fits we will be able to identify ours. Rennie, Halifax.
