Replace a potentiometer knob

Amplifiers for musical instruments have many analog potentiometers to increase or decrease the sound volume and the effect intensity. We had a missing knob and Sugru was the best solution to replace it, so we could regulate the sound level again.

First, we shaped Sugru in a cylindrical form and pushed it slowly on the potentiometer lever. We then used a small screw to secure Sugru to the lever. With a little screwdriver we created indentations on the knob, to make it grippier.

We finished the job by painting a little white line on the knob, to mark the sound level.
