Replace the grips on your secateurs

I sugru'd a pair of Tobisho secateurs - they are wonderful Japanese steel and beautifully made, but the handle covers were slippy red and yellow plastic (see www.niwaki.com for their original condition). They now have lovely high-friction textured silicone grips which look fab just on the outside of the handles. I'm about to do the same to some Okatsune snips as it's worked perfectly and has survived at least its first day of professional use in a lot of the wet stuff. Iain
