Google commission special edition sugru
A few months ago, a sugru'er called Roman who works at Google had the idea that sugru could make a cool Google gift. We loved the idea, so we worked together to make special edition Google sugru :)
Engineers love sugru and these are beautiful and useful little promo gifts to help lure all the most talented engineers at recruitment fairs and events into the Google clan...
But what should we call it? Google + sugru = .... googru of course !
Google brought the first batch of these to the WWW2012 conference in Lyon this week, apparently they all disappeared in a few hours :-) We'll have to make some more so!

@Alexander Thanks for you suggestion. The minipacks we put sugru in are airtight, this is necessary because the moisture in the air is what cures sugru, so we have to keep that away from it. What makes sugru expire, however, are certain active ingredients. We made a video that shows what happens to sugru after it expires.
But there's a cool (pun intended!) trick for making sugru last longer: The best way to extend sugru’s life is to store it in the fridge. The cold helps sugru last up to twice as long.
I didn't know what sugru is. I was puzzled by the reference on an Insructables site. What the hell is Sugru? I "google" it and there it is, and then I read about it, how it was made. Wonderful idea. I recalls trying to make do with stuff and they didn't lasts. Now here it is, fantastic! Now I can fix things with proper reliability, perhaps even my hearing aids!
Well, I was puzzled as well. Sugru don't lasts six months or more in the packets? Why not put it in tins, airtight tins? That would make it lasts year. I was thinking, when no one uses the packets, the packets would be wasted after six months. So why not put them in tins, they'd last, wouldn't they? Well, no worries okay.
Good job. (thumbs up).
Brilliant promotional idea, and expertly done, well done Jane.
