Save kids shoes from scuff marks and make them last longer
It's nearly halfway through the school term and we were wondering how well those school shoes are holding up?! If they are beginning to look a bit worn and the job is too tough for regular polish - don't worry, we've got a great idea that can help prolong their life.
Kids shoes are forever being scuffed, beaten and battered, and a lot of the time the rest of the shoes are perfectly fine! In this easy project using sugru, you can extend their life by filling holes or weak areas.
We are really passionate about making things last longer and this is another example of how to repair and protect our favourite, most-used possessions to give them a new lease of life!
Sugru is awesome for this fix because:
- It sticks to most materials including textile, material and some plastics
- It is flexible when cured so is ideal for shoes
- You can create any colour or shade that you like to match your material exactly
Sugru is available from ourĀ online shop.
*Note that sugru will wear away pretty quickly if used on the soles. However it is perfect for edges and the exterior, and will last and last even in harsh outdoor conditions :)
You can find step-by-step instructions on how to mend shoes - including how to get the exact colour match is available on Instructables here.
