Repair a toilet flush mechanism

My wife's toilet had stopped flushing. The culprit was a torn loop in the rubber flapper. Rather than buy a new flapper, I simply hacked a sugru loop to the top of the flapper without even having to remove it. Needless to say, the toilet is working perfectly again with a smidge more color in the tank. Not arty but effective and a huge time saver. Lance, California.
