Seal your shower fixtures
My taps protrude from the wall by a small amount, which meant I had use either sealant or grout. I HATE sealant! It’s messy and cannot be moulded easily (especially round the taps). So that left grout. However the grout would wear away after a while which meant I was regularly reapplying it – a right pain I can tell you.
Then I saw sugru featured on BBC2’s Culture Show. At last I found an answer to my shower tap problem. I ordered the 8-pack and over the weekend tried it out. You’ll see from the picture it works well – looks like it was made for the job! And the colours are appropriate in this context too. sugru has exceeded my expectations: easy to use, durable and a water-proof seal.
