I've been fixing some car keys. On the most recent set of keys, even the key fob had been somewhat destroyed. (the bits you press for locking/unlocking had worn through completely). A 76p switch sorted the board, and a packet of sugru later, it's all fixed! Success on my first ever hack! Emily.
