I was able to make a stylus that works extremely well, feels good in your hand, and looks far better than any of the other homemade models I've seen. The Sugru also covers up any rough surfaces that could possibly scratch the screen. ?I made mine double ended- tightly wound sponge on one end, useful for "typing" or handwriting, and a softer, more chisel-brush cut sponge on the other side, for more of a paint-y feel in programs like Sketch Pad.
