To make this scissor protector, I put a thin layer of grease and made a longish "rope" of sugru and wrapped it around scissors. Similarly, sugru could protect the sharp end of chisels, and pointed ends of other shop tools (such as scribers etc.). There was no need for embedded magnet(s) to hold the sugru mold, and since the work end of these scissors is symmetric, there?is no fitting and holding problem when inserting the scissors' front end either way.
