Make your own laser pointer
I had a laser pointer that just didn't work right, wouldn't turn on when I pressed the button on it. ?So, I did what any self respecting man would do.... and took it apart. ?I salvaged what is known as the laser diode (the actual part of the laser that produces the laser and shoots out the red light), but I had no way to power it. I took a push button from a "try me" electronic device and the laser diode and simply added a power source ( 9V battery ).Using sugru, I was able to create a way in which I could actually keep a fresh power source by placing the wires from the diode in such a way in the sugru that they would make contact with the proper poles/sides of the battery and also create a flexible way to attach it to the battery in the first place.
