Just in time for the upcoming winter my boots started to disintegrate. Normally a visit at a shoemaker would be a suitable choice, but these boots are Gore-Tex-Sci-Fi-High-Tech. Last time they started falling apart I sent them to the manufacturer and after only 2 month they were back...So I decided to hack them with sugru. Not a big deal, but unfortunately the leather was very stiff and curved, so that it always spread open. My standard weapon-of-choice, cable ties, were unhelpful this time. Looking at my fridge I came to this solution. This method worked like a charm, I just had to use magnets with enough power. Thomas, Germany
