I cleaned-off the dirt and debris that was stuck to the decomposed (and out-gassing!) portion of the original rubber cover of my trowel. Now my garden trowel looks like something I grew in the garden. I added a thumb rest and hanging loop in green and I like the way it turned out. I used a fork and a screw head to add some texture for grip. Now it's better than new! Frank, California.
