The plastic buttons on my car key fob had ?hardened? over time (the key is about seven years old) to the point where the buttons were frequently staying down when pressed. This was draining the battery in the key so it need replacing every couple of weeks? as you can see (photo attached) I successfully used Sugru to replace the buttons with the bonus of adding a bit of colour to the key! I was a bit worried about how durable the repair would be and whether the sugru would be sufficiently flexible over time? but this repair has now worked successfully, with no battery replacement required, for 3 months and it still looks as good as the day I made it!
