why don't I see the posts correctly?

the screen shot you posted here is correct, there are no images in that specific post...

Are there any others you think are not showing properly ?

I've encountered this too.  One would presume with the example pictured above that the original post by yjb contained more than the word, "Hi," at some point, otherwise jane wouldn't have been able to respond to the post!

At least one of the threads I posted to in the past appears to have been "edited" recently as well, for whatever reason - text is missing from one of my comments, in the Squishy Sugru thread, making later responses seem oddly out-of-context. 

As you might imagine from the title of the first comment, there was originally a list of compromises associated with mixing oil and sugru to make it squishier (eg adhesion issues, negative impact on heat resistance, etc.), some of which might be pertinent for other gurus to know before they experiment as I did.  All that remains now is the first line. 

Perhaps some data got corrupted when the server went down recently (as a result of the popularity of the Lego video)...

well spotted cultureofone, I have passed this onto Stuart, hopefully he can solve this problem...

UPDATE: My previous problems were on Firefox 6(? - I 'll verify that) on Windows XP - here at home I'm running Firefox 9 on Ubuntu, and everything looks just fine

My previous update was posted from home on the Firefox 9 / Ubuntu machine; I'm now at work on Firefox 8 & Win XP (this is the machine I originally posted about).

Anyway, works just fine here now;I can see all the lines & images. Whatever Stuard did appears to have fixed it.
