Josef Frank is a famous designer in Sweden. The store he designed his textiles for, Svensktenn, repurposed his designs in many ways - including making these very popular food trays. We have three of these that we inherited from my husband's grandmother. For years they were simply hidden behind the microwave and toaster. I thought to install shelves next to our refrigerator to display them.

My search for the perfect shelving solution actually lead me to this Ikea kitchen drawer pull. It's sleek, the right depth to hold the trays without them tipping over, comes in a good range of lengths to consider, and very affordable. But the wall next to the fridge is so thin that I didn't want to risk puncturing the fridge with nails or screws.

So, Sugru + Ikea hack = beautiful new wall of heirlooms. Secured the 'shelves' to the wall for 24 hours with the extra support from masking tape and the result is very sturdy!
