Cover sharp elements inside a Stormtrooper helmet

Being a Stormtrooper with the 501st Legion my costume always has to be in perfect condition. Every troop there is a risk of damage to the costume. Last troop I got some cracks in my costume. Wondering how to repair them I thought about Sugru. A friend refered a few weeks ago to Sugru as a magical product, the new Duct Tape.
Another use of Sugru I found in covering the bolts and rivets on the inside of the costume. Without any cover there is always a risk of injury. Using Sugru all sharp parts can easily be couvered. This feels a lot more comfortable. It also should be easy to remove this cover in case of damage and the need to do a repair. So Sugru should also do perfect for this purpose.
With the use of Sugru I'm ready to go on my next troop in a few weeks...
