Create a comfortable grip on bold threads

I am a woodworker. I recently solved a problem with Sugru that was so easy and worked so great I had to tell you about it.

I made a tool to work with my table saw. One part has a bolt that is secured in a channel between two pieces of wood. The two wood pieces are clamped together with another bolt and threaded knob. The problem occurred because the wood was so hard it could not get a good grip on the bolt.

Sugru to the rescue. I put Sugru in the channel and then made an impression of the bolt threads by pressing the bolt into the Sugru. Putting release agent on the bolt made this work so easy.

Now I have a grip on it.
