Create a mixed-media assemblage art & painting

Had an round canvas board, and the idea to execute a 2-faced Gorgon on it. Originally wanted to do the hair of snakes from air-drying material, but that would have made the surface much heavier. So opted for rubber snakes. As the hair had to appear real, decided to cut the snakes in section and merge them together and add pieces here and there (with some glue). Sugru came in handy so as to blend the cut parts with the surface, and add to the volume of the rubber. A small blade and some water were used to shape in the Sugru to follow the snakes's contours, and also to add some small scale marks. Needless to say, Sugru managed to cure well and bonded effectively both with the rubber snakes, and also the canvas. 3 coats of Acrylic paint were added over snakes and Sugru (2 coats white, 1 light coat of colour) for a consistency.
