Customise a recurve archery oak handle

I've vastly improved my recurve archery handle with 2 small packs of red sugru. Using this I was able to keep to my red and green colour scheme. We archers tend to be very particular about colour schemes of our equipment. The hand crafted oak handle I use is very good but they never exactly match every archers grip. I rolled two small packs of red sugru together, laid it roughly in the correct place then drew my bow. This squashed the sugru to exactly fit my particular palm. I did this two or three times to neaten everything and confirm my grip.

Now the standard grip fits my hand perfectly every time. In archery we all have a sequence of things we do and check before every single shot. One of the most important ones is setting the hand position. This will help to make that perfect every time.
