Make an easy-unscrew storage jar lid

We first ordered some sugru almost two years ago now, and the first thing we did with it was really simple, really useful, and has lasted ever since. The jar in which we keep our coffee for iced coffee had a lid that was really hard to open. Maybe because coffee was hot going in and then cooled down before we wanted to use it, so it formed a vacuum? 

Anyway, though we are not old enough to need assistance opening most jars, I added two knobs of sugru to the lid, which happily had a textured edge. The knobs really help us get the lid off. Simple! Works! Makes things better! - sugru! Ellen.
