Reduce wear between rigging blocks and woodwork on a boat

When I received some packets of Sugru as a stocking filler at Christmas, I wondered what I was going to do with it. As a boating geek, already into both sailing and maintaining my boat I already had a vast collection of different fillers and glues to the deal with the inevitable repairs that come with boat ownership and use.
My eureka moment came with understanding the plasticine nature of Sugru in its uncured state. In one of the projects, I moulded it into mini-bumpers of appropriate shapes to reduce rubbing and wear between rigging blocks and woodwork or fibreglass.
No doubt I will soon find some more uses.
