Repair broken power cables

162.jpg

I had two PC power supplies where the cable had fatigued at the plug. So I cut away all the old plastic plug surround to reveal the metal body and connectors. Then I cut the cable back a couple of inches and soldered the connections onto the now bare plug. Then, being a tight-wad, I used half a 5g pack for each plug to insulate and support the soldered joints. Rob, Hertfordshire.
