Repair broken wooden furniture

You know those annoying gashes when you run your electric saw into your furniture when you are using them as a workbench? A bit of red and yellow sugru and the person sitting on the stool didn't even have to get up for me to repair it. (visited a friend for a tea party with my sugru in my pocket)
