Patch a puncture in an Aerobed air mattress

This mattress was stored in my cedar closet for a couple years with the hope of one day being able to locate the leak and possibly repairing it. (That was well before I purchased Sugru.)

There was a pinhole I could not find, but I had taken it out one day and a friend of my daughter discovered the hole. I had him mark the place with a permanent marker. Later I was able to work with Sugru, forming it into a circle and simply applying it to the location, pressing it firmly around the edges to make sure it would be able to adhere properly. Somewhere between 24 and 36 hours I returned to it and tested it. I am not a small person and it was able to easily hold up under my weight. It has now been deflated and blown up many times and since the puncture is on the underside you would never know there ever was a problem.
