Make a replacement key

Access to the gas meter cabinet requires a triangular key [top left image]. Unfortunately the key was lost and various ineffective means has been used to open the cabinet. When I saw sugru I realised it would be ideal for making a replacement. I started with a piece of thin card and folded it around the triangle of the lock. I then selected a socket that would fit into the hole [top right] and then created the base. Finally I rolled out a strip and folded it into the triangle shape using the piece of card as a former. After checking the fit was good I left the whole thing to set. Finally I fitted the socket to a driver extension. Job done.
