Repair your refrigerator shelves

There were three tempered glass shelves in a refrigerator that was less than five years old. The glass was very strong but the plastic frame holding the glass in the refrigerator shelf was weak by comparison and the plastic was held to the glass with very thin beads of clear caulk. One by one the plastic broke around the shelves and replacing a shelf would cost $100 per shelf. So I took everything apart, cleaned it very well with rubbing alcohol and then using white Sugru I put the plastic back around the glass shelves using a generous amount and then clamping it in place until it was cured. I’m most proud of this project and the shelves have remained strong – better than ever.
