Add grip to a sewing machine wheel

I was going to hack this in white, but had leftovers from another project so I thought I'd see if I could make this stretch to fit. This wheel on my sewing machine is very slick plastic. I was having a hard time getting a grip on it. I had been using a rubber band, but it would not stay in place. So, I rolled the sugru into a snake. At first it only fit half way around and so I rolled it until it was a thin strip, wrapped it around and was able to press it down and even use a fork dipped in soapy water to put some tread on it. It is surprising how little you can use to create something great. A little goes a long way!!!
