Protect the inner tube of a motorbike's wheel

While building a custom wheel for my antique English motorcycle, it became apparent that the spoke nipples would be protruding into the inside of the rim, potentially chafing into the inner tube and causing tire deflation; a dangerous situation!
After application of sugru, the likelihood of inner tube chafing is greatly reduced, if not eliminated. A wrapping of duct tape, followed by the installation of a DOT approved rim band, tube and tire are all that stand between me and the open road…providing the bike will remain running for a while! Thank you sugru, for helping me keep one more British relic on the highway.
