Soften the sharp edges of an extractor unit

I've been using Sugru quite a bit recently for prototyping (I'm a Bio-medical Engineer in Cape Town) and I really like the stuff!

This weekend however, I found a great use for it. My Grandfather has an extractor unit above his stove that he always bumps his head on. As you can see, he's tried to soften the very hard and sharp edges using tape, which didn't work all that well.

He routinely cuts his head open on the corners, despite the tape. So, enter Sugru: I managed to cover the sharp edges with Sugru, and now Gramps can bump his head all day long! I can confirm that gramps hit his head again this weekend and for once, no bleeding! So chuffed!

He is very happy with the Sugru Fix!
