Everyone loves to receive a gift that feels like it's had some thought put into it — and homemade gifts always feel more special than store bought.
With this lovely project you can create your own presents, adding a personal message that means something to both of you.
With a little thought and some Sugru in their favourite colour, it's easy!
We used a basic DIY printing kit to create some new sets of mugs for the Sugru kitchen!
Step 1 — Stick and shape your Sugru.
Step 2 — Press the printing kit into the Sugru and lift it off carefully.
24 hours later the Sugru will be set and you'll have a lovely personalised present ready to go. Or you might just want to make one to remind yourself how awesome you are every morning when you have your tea (we're not judging!)
Sugru is perfect for this project because it's easy to mould with your hands, sticks to most materials and forms a strong bond for as long as you want it. And because Sugru stays soft for 30 minutes after you open a pack, you've got plenty of time to get it just right. Once cured, Sugru is easy to clean with soap and water, and it's dishwasher safe too!
This idea has sooo many other uses — like marking your kid's toys with their name, or keeping your wi-fi code handy on the fridge, or a way to label all your plugs so you know what's what! We'd love to see what you come up with!
This project was inspired by Jude who created awesome custom-labels his design tools.
