Fix a glass fridge shelf

The glass shelf in my fridge broke recently because I tried to cool a warm cake on it. So, what to do about it? Buy new glass? Duct tape it all up? Live with a missing layer of precious cool storage space in summer? Not exactly my favourite options.

So, I took some duct tape to make sure that everything was kept in place during the fix. Then I shaped some sugru into strips and moulded it on the cracked areas. After a day I took off the duct tape from the other side and repeated the process on this side. When I checked it later on, it had gone solid and to my astonishment it is now as stable as one complete piece would be. No wobbling, no nothing. It fits into the fridge like on the first day, and no one will cut their fingers on sharp glass edges :)

It's saved me a headache and I can fill my fridge again with cold drinks for my friends. Antenne, Berlin.
